Greetings Chum Sisters:
On behalf of the Georgia Peachtree Chums, Inc. Chapter, I extend a warm welcome
to those of you who are planning to attend the 49th
National Conclave in Atlanta, Georgia, October 8-11,
2009. Your
conclave co-chairs are Chum Ave Marshall and Chum
Kimberly O’Bannon.
With their leadership we have planned a weekend
of exciting events to share our sisterhood while you
experience some of the scenic attractions in the city
of Atlanta, including the Martin Luther King Center,
Underground Atlanta, the CNN Center, the Atlanta
University Center colleges, the Georgia Aquarium, and
Atlantic Station.
We selected for our venue the
4-star Grand Hyatt Atlanta, located in the prestigious
Buckhead area of Atlanta, near Lenox Square and Phipps
Plaza, and we are sure you will have an enjoyable
stay!
The theme for our 2009 National
Conclave is “The Midnight Train to Georgia.”
This will be a special time to reflect on
“where you were” and “where we are” at this
historic time in America.
We invite you to bring your “oldies but
goodies” and share these moments in time with us.
Please come and bring your
families. We
are planning activities that will allow you and your
families to celebrate
our special friendship and unique African American
musical heritage.
We
look forward to seeing you October 8-11, 2009 in
